Cori Meunier, the wife of Greg Meunier and co-owner of Vicious Fishing, is the unsung hero behind the family’s thriving fishing tackle business and their tight-knit household. Married for 19 years, Cori has traded corporate ladders for a life of freedom, family and the simple joys of fishing and hunting, all while keeping the company’s operations humming.

“Cori’s support is why I’m doing this today,” Greg said. “She’s a homebody who loves to curl up with her dogs or fish and hunt. The fact that we bought this company and did this together is just awesome and makes me so proud to do this for a living.”

The Meuniers acquired Vicious Fishing in 2018, a bold move that allowed Cori to step back into the workforce on her terms after being a stay-at-home mom. Despite her qualifications for corporate roles, she chose a path less traveled, prioritizing family over extra income. It wasn’t an easy decision, but one she’s never regretted.

“We had some interesting conversations,” Greg recalled. “We decided we would forego the extra income so she could raise our babies. She’s been a giant part of their development, taking them to the library, the zoo, parks, practices—you name it.”

Cori’s Type-A personality shines through in her role at Vicious Fishing, where she handles data entry, invoicing, accounts receivable and payable, software management and much, much more.

“She keeps me straight and makes sure I stay on track,” Greg said. “When I get a little scattered at times, she’s always there to get me back to where I need to be. She is a outstanding wife and business partner. I don’t know what I’d do without her.”

The flexibility of running their own business has given Cori the freedom to be deeply involved with their kids, a luxury she wouldn’t have with a traditional 9-to-5 job. 

“If she had a normal job, she wouldn’t be so involved with our kids,” Greg said. “That’s the beauty of what we’re doing. We can build something together. That dream is what we both believe in.”

For Cori Meunier, the sacrifices have been worth it. She’s built a life where family, passion and purpose intersect, proving that the road less traveled can lead to the richest rewards.
